COMPUTER USE AND INTERNET ACCESS
* A MORE library card must be physically in hand to use any of our three public access computers. New patrons need to bring in a valid ID with proof of current address in order to apply for a card. Travelers and visitors can fill out a temporary use application at the front desk.
* There is a time limit of 30 minutes of use, with an additional 30 minutes if no one else is waiting to use a computer.
* Reservations can be placed for a specific time. Those with reservations must arrive within the first 5 minutes of their reserved time in order to maintain their reservation.
* The library does not allow instant messaging or chat on any public access computer. No exceptions.
* Card holders must keep their fines/fees in the MORE library system below $10 in order to use computers at the Osceola Library.
* As an incentive to keep fines low, and encourage patrons to carry their cards, Osceola will take up to $1.00 off fines on a patron’s record if they have their physical library card with them when they come to the library. Limit 1 per day per person. (Manually placed charges and fees for book replacements are excluded from this incentive program.)

The librarians are happy to assist you! We can assist in locating books, electronic information and web sites, magazines/journals and periodicals. Just ask!

VOLUNTEERS
The Osceola Public Library enjoys and encourages volunteer participation in all areas of the library. We have regular volunteer positions available, as well as need volunteers for special events and programs, such as our summer reading program. For more information, please call Nate at 715-294-2310.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
The Friends of the Osceola Public Library supports the library and its programs. They are currently recruiting more members. Meetings are the third Monday of each month, at the library. In addition to the book sale shelves within the library, the Friends also hold two large book sales per year, once in April and another in September. DONATIONS/GIFT POLICY
The library accepts used books, videos, DVDs, audio books, music CDs, and magazines, provided they are in good condition. We also accept gift subscriptions to magazines. If the donated items cannot be added to our collection, the book’s ownership will be transferred to the Friends for use in their book sales.
