Reading has many cognitive benefits and is especially important over the summer months. By participating in our library’s Summer Learning Program, kids and teens will be ready to learn and engage at the start of the next school year.

Due to the ongoing public health crisis, our 2021 SLP will be different from years past. However, we are committed to being a resource for families in our community and an advocate for literacy.

This summer will feature fun Take and Make Kits for families which can be picked up at the drive through window. Each kit is literacy focused, contains several crafts and projects and are available while supplies last. See the kit schedule below!

  • Thursday, June 10th Beverly Cleary Kit
  • Thursday, June 17th Historical Fiction Kit
  • Thursday, June 24th Outdoor Adventures Kit
  • Thursday, July 1st Chris Grabenstein Kit
  • Thursday, July 15th Nonfiction Kit
  • Thursday, July 22nd Roald Dahl Kit

To participate in the reading portion of the Summer Learning Program and be eligible for prize drawings, sign up for or sign into your Beanstack account at: http://osceolapubliclibrary.beanstack.org and select the 2021 WMPL Summer Learning Program Challenge. Then, start reading and earning badges!
